Cupertino Language Immersion Program (CLIP)
CLIP is a two-way immersion program that has been developed so children are able to attain high academic competency in both English and Mandarin, and become bi-literate in both languages. The program has also been developed to enrich children's education by incorporating many cultural activities and after school programs.
In CLIP first grade, students are in a self-contained classroom with one teacher throughout the day. 70% of instruction is taught in Chinese whereas 30% of instruction is in English.
